Almost everyone with a camera got a shot something like this. The great sunset meant more than just the end of the day for the Champion Speed Shop "world's fastest small block Chevy" Top Fuel car. It was the end of the weekend. The smoke is from the fire which followed blowing a hole in the side of the block. They were low qualifier for the day, but for naught.
The "Winged Express" put on quite a show. Fuel altereds must be a real challenge to drive under the best of circumstances, but with the header flames shining in your eyes - ooooeeee!
